Training Israeli scientists on instrumentation for long-term monitoring in vineyards

Research Soil Scientist/Micrometeorologist Dr. John Prueger of the National Laboratory for Agriculture and the Environment in Ames, IA will present two lectures on advanced eddy covariance systems in preparation for installing a long-term eddy covariance flux measurement system in a vineyard in the Negev desert, Israel. Dr. Nurit of the Ben Gurion University is a professor and collaborates with Dr. Prueger on the GRAPEX project in CA and is developing a similar program (GRAPEX). The lectures are in person only, and it is not open to the public. Media will not present.

Iowa State University Department of Agronomy Soil Science Seminar Series 2023

 USDA-ARS Research Hydrologist Dr. Kenneth Wacha of the National Laboratory for Agriculture and the Environment in Ames, IA will give a seminar at the Iowa State University Agronomy Department Soil Science Seminar Series. Dr. Wacha will discuss landscape processes in agricultural cropping systems and the role of management in building resilience to weather changes. The seminar is in-person and virtual.  Media maybe present and is open to the public.
