Agricultural Engineer
I serve as Lead Scientist for the lab’s water quality/quantity project. My research centers around integrating agricultural systems modeling with field data for investigating conservation and management practice effectiveness. I joined NLAE in April 2001 and started with ARS November 1996 in Coshocton OH. I grew up south of Pittsburgh in my grandparents’ house where my parents, sister, grandfather that worked as a coal miner, grandmother, and a disabled uncle all lived. Much of my family still lives in the same renovated/expanded house and a neighboring house, where I visit regularly. In addition to spending time with family and hikes with my dog and getting beaten by computer chess, I enjoy serving in several roles within a local church.
