Research Hydrologist
Position Description
I joined the Soil Drainage Research Unit as a Research Hydrologist in 2024. I use a multidisciplinary systems approach to understand the dynamics of hydrological systems and their associated ecosystems. Currently, I am investigating the coupled biogeochemical and ecohydrological dynamics driving nutrient cycling and transport within headwater streams and ditches of agricultural watersheds. Additionally, I provide my expertise in hydrology to the LTAR and CEAP efforts of the SDRU.
Within my research, I employ a diverse set of technical skills and often use a combination of theoretical, observational, and experimental methodologies. While I am motivated by a deep curiosity of the natural world and by the pursuit of knowledge for its own sake, I also believe the practical application of science is of equal importance. Accordingly, I endeavor to produce societally relevant knowledge and tools that provide stakeholders with pertinent information for resource and land management planning and conservation.
