Kadisha Culpepper

Post Doc (Research Associate)

Dr. Kadisha Culpepper is a postdoc in the Bio-Oils Research Unit and will be working on the synthesis and evaluation of biobased polymers as replacements for nonbiodegradable and nonrenewable commercial materials. Kadisha recently graduated with her PhD in Chemical Engineering from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida. Her research focused on the synthesis of nanoparticles from biodegradable xylitol-based polyesters for targeted drug delivery applications. Kadisha was born in St Thomas, US Virgin Islands and raised in the small Caribbean Island of Dominica. She enjoys travelling and has been to over 20 countries. She also describes herself as a foodie and enjoys trying out new restaurants.
