• MPM scientists are determining how environmental factors such as drought, high temperatures and elevated levels of carbon dioxide affect the ability of fungi to produce mycotoxins and the ability of plants to defend themselves against fungal diseases. These investigations will provide information on how to improve the ability of crops to resist fungal infections and inhibit mycotoxin production.
