Ph.D. - Chemical Engineering - Cornell University

Franklin received his B.E. in Chemical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University, where he modified industrial yeast as a synthetic biology platform for the discovery of natural product pathways and the production of high-value chemicals. In this new position, he will be focused on precision fermentation for production of alternative proteins.
