USDA Database for the Choline Content of Common Foods, Release 2 (2008)
This database was created through a collaborative effort between the USDA and the Department of Nutrition, University of North Carolina.
The database contains values for six choline metabolites:
- Betaine
- Glycerophosphocholine
- Phosphocholine
- Phosphatidylcholine
- Sphingomyelin
- Total choline
Note: If you downloaded either the ASCII or Microsoft Access version of the choline database prior to March 4, 2008, please download the file again. We have found an error in the total choline values.
USDA Database for the Choline Content of Common Foods, Release 2 Documentation (2008)
- Choline Content of Common Foods Access Database - This file contains the Choline Database imported into a Microsoft Access database. It includes relationships between files. You will need Microsoft Access 2000 to use this file. Download the "USDA Database for the Choline Content of Common Foods" for full documentation. The file structure is the same as that of the USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference.
- Choln02.zip - A compressed data file, containing all the data in the tables in ASCII (ISO/IEC 8859-1), which can be imported for use in various database programs
