Some neighbors and I organized a clean up along the bike trail in Bladensburg, MD.

 

Historical note: Slave  labor built the prosperity of the region, a center for tobacco production in Colonial America. The Bladensburg port, once a port for seafaring ships, became impassible to large ships in the 1830s when tobacco farming led ti soil runoff that occluded the Anacostia river.
