FIRE EMERGENCY


In Case of Fire


  1. Attend to the injured: "Stop, drop, and roll!" and smother the flames with a fire blanket

  2. Alert others: "Fire!"

  3. Call 911 and report nature and location of fire

  4. Activate the fire alarm

  5. Close all doors

  6. Evacuate the building. Don't use elevator

  7. Meet at the evacuation assembly area on the lawn behind the building

  8. Assist emergency personnel with the nature and location of fire



USE OF FIRE EXTINGUISHER TO EXTINGUISH THEFIRE IF TRAINED. DO NOT ENDANGER YOUR OWN SAFETY TO DO THIS

Fire extinguishers A are for wood and paper fires
Fire extinguishers B are for boiling liquids i.e. chemical fires
Fire extinguishers C are for electrical fires
