Distribution of PGRU Genetic Resources Across the US from 1984 to 2020

Distribution of genetic resources is one of our most meaningful contributions to agriculture in the United States and worldwide. Though our highest priority is to maintain and protect our collections, these powerful resources need to be accessible for research and breeding so we can address the challenges of tomorrow. The map above shows the distribution of fruit and vegetable crops within the US. Hover over a state and you'll see how many samples we've distributed from 1984 to 2020. Visit our crop pages to see similar maps for specific crops.
