Striped flowers of a hybrid ‘Glenn Dale’ azalea

From the U.S. National Arboretum, Azalea Collection, a hybrid Glenn Dale azalea. Benjamin Morrison bred azaleas for cold-hardiness, floriferousness, and flower color variation. Striped flowers were one of his goals, as seen in this seedling.
