Plant physiologist James Bunce measures carbon dioxide (CO2) uptake and water loss from leaves of soybeans grown at elevated CO2 concentrations. Measurements on plants grown at current ambient CO2 concentration and at elevated concentrations reveal whether there are long-term adjustments to the elevated concentrations.
