Cuphea(Cuphea hybrids).Some 250 undomesticated species of Cuphea are native to Central America, South America, and North America. Oil from Cuphea seeds has a low viscosity and can be used directly as a diesel fuel without chemical processing. It also shows promise for controlling weeds in turfgrass.
