Forming Partnerships
ARS researchers work with stakeholders to develop solutions to national and global agricultural challenges. Partners increase the impact of ARS research by facilitating the adoption of research outcomes. Collaborations between partners and ARS can help both parties leverage expertise and resources, bring speed and a broader scope to a project and meet technical objectives.
Federal legislation provides for a variety of agreements that enable Federal agencies to cooperate with outside entities. ARS uses a number of technology transfer agreements to share, obtain, exchange and/or use information, data, materials and expertise. ARS agreements can protect, when necessary, technical information, new knowledge and intellectual property interests of ARS and/or collaborating parties from public disclosure.
- Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
- Material/Data Transfer Agreement (MTA/DTA)
- Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA)
- Material/DATA Transfer Research Agreement (MTRA/DTRA)
