Research and Interests

Working in agriculture in the Palouse Wayne's specialties has developed in crop and soil fertility, as well as general agriculture production within the region known as the Palouse. While working for the Wilbur-Ellis Company as their Dryland Research Agronomist, he covered an area that reached from Grangeville, Idaho to Connell, Washington and from the Canadian Border to Pendleton, Oregon.

His research directives at that time ranged from research of new herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides to new methods for, and formulations of fertility for top agricultural production for cereal grains, legumes, and Brassica crops.
