Areas of Responsibility

Monitor the station greenhouses and screen houses for any pests or pest related problems.

Maintain greenhouse and screen house facilities.

Maintain budget for purchase of greenhouse products and temporary labor.

Maintain pesticide inventory and update inventory with new and more target specific chemistry.

Work with station staff members, including resident entomologist and pathologist, to determine best solutions to pest related problems.

Apply pesticide as necessary to eliminate pest problems.

Maintain supply inventory keeping the greenhouses stocked with such items as soil, fertilizers, reconditioned (pasteurized) soil, pots, and pesticide products.

Supervise time slip labor in areas of sanitizing pots for plants, and greenhouse plant watering.
