Mission:
Research Operations and Management ensures that research projects and programs are responsive to the Administration, Departmental, Agency and stakeholder issues and are well positioned for the future. This is accomplished through Strategic Resource Management Planning directed to ensure that scientists maintain the highest scientific standards through rigorous peer review by the Office of Scientific Quality and Review and the Research Panel Evaluation System; that research is conducted and communicated within Homeland Security guidelines for physical, personnel, and cyber-security; that research results and technology are transferred and communicated effectively to an ever-widening audience; and that all resources are utilized to optimize the continuing scientific leadership, financial viability, and impact of the Agency.
