Mission:
The mission of the Office of the Center Director is to provide leadership in formulating and coordinating research programs. The Office conducts continual evaluations of the research program and, when necessary, advises line supervisory staff and Office of National Programs of recommendations for adjustment. The Office coordinates preparation and approves annual reports, CRIS project plans, and assures proper handling and documentation of all research products. Responsibilities also include providing for proper preparation of and execution of all cooperative agreements and memoranda of understanding with other state and federal agencies. As chief location fundholder, the Office is responsible for determining needs of the staff and the availability of funds assigned to each CRIS and Research Unit and to lead development of the ARMP. The Office is also responsible for proper expenditure of all funds, inventory control, and space utilization for the Center. The Office assures that all personnel actions, including annual performance evaluations and review of performance standards, are properly executed in a timely manner.
