Mission:
In support of the Agricultural Research Service mission, the research program of the U. S. National Poultry Research Center has 3 main thrust areas: (1) the ensuring and improvement of food and feed safety; (2)the ensuring and improvement of food and crop quality and production efficiency and (3) the practical exploitation of natural chemical and biochemical products. Appropriated funds for this program support ARS objectives in Plant Sciences, Animal Sciences, and Commodity Conversion and Delivery. The Center's research continues to emphasize high priority ARS Food Safety and Utilization Research programs.
