Mission:
The Office of the Director facilitates and oversees carrying out the mission of the U.S. National Arboretum: to enhance the economic, environmental, and aesthetic value of ornamental and landscape plants through long-term, multi-disciplinary research, conservation of genetic resources, and interpretative gardens and exhibits. Interrelated core values that underlie all of the strategic goals and objectives and drive decision-making include discovery, connections, sustainability, service, and access.
