Studied journalism at the University of Montana in Missoula. Worked as a reporter-editor for the Sidney Herald Leader for 4 years before taking a position at Elk River Printing in Sidney as a darkroom tech and graphic designer. Joined NPARL in Feb. 1999 as a technology transfer specialist with the TEAM Leafy Spurge program, before moving over to work for the lab as a whole.
Responsible for developing and instituting a wide variety of outreach projects and activities designed to inform NPARL stakeholders and customers of the research work being done at the lab and its outcomes.

Outreach activities include development of materials for and participation in ag trade shows and exhibitions, and helping with a wide variety of meetings, symposiums, field days, tours and other related events.

Outreach projects include developing and/or overseeing development of numerous print and electronic products for the lab and its programs, including websites, informational CD-ROMs, manuals, brochures and an electronic newsletter.
