Education:

B.S., Electrical Engineering, Northwestern University, 1989

I am an engineering technician at the USDA-ARS, Gainesville, FL location (CMAVE) and have an electrical engineering degree from Northwestern University.

Much of my ARS career has involved bioacoustics: the detection and identification of sounds made by insects as those sounds are transmitted through different media (e.g., grain, soil, inside trees, on plants, through air, etc.) and on interpreting insect behavior via the sounds they make and respond to.
