Madalyn Scanlan

Agricultural Science Research Technician (Plants)

Madalyn Scanlan works as research technician under Dry Bean Geneticist Dr. Karen Cichy. Madalyn is responsible for managing field trial experiments with the objective of screening and characterizing large numbers of genotypes to identify lines with improved agronomic, nutritional, and culinary qualities. Madalyn graduated with a B.S. in Crop and Soil Science from Michigan State University and spent time working in corn breeding and seed production before joining the unit in 2021.
