Education:
Ph.D. Plant Breeding and Genetics, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA 2009
M.Sc. Plant Breeding and Genetics, University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru, India 1999

Research Interests:
•• My areas of expertise include, utilization of conventional and genomic-assisted approaches to characterize genetic variability, germplasm enhancement, and development of improved aesthetic value, and biotic & abiotic stress tolerance in grasses.
•• Conducting genome-wide association studies using high throughput field-based phenotyping and reduced-representation DNA sequencing (genotyping) platforms to develop applicable markers linked to quantitative traits.
•• Identification of candidate genes underlying desirable traits that can be targeted for cultivar improvement using marker-assisted selection technique.
