Position Description

As a Hydrologic Technician in our Unit, my primary job is to bring back water sample collection bottles from our research sites to the lab we work out of.  This requires me to go on sample collection runs to Northwest Ohio nearly every other week, while doing maintenance at existing research sites to make sure instruments are functioning properly so that the data collected is as accurate as possible.  I also tend to help out in the lab by logging samples into an excel spreadsheet, filtering, cleaning/dishes, labelling bottles, etc.  I have experience in managing leveloggers and water table wells in some of the fields we monitor, taking soil samples, and using all sorts of construction tools/vehicles.

I spend my free time outdoors in the warmer weather going on hikes, enjoying the pool, and trying to experience new things with friends and family.  In the winter, I like to catchup on movies I missed while they were in theaters, read, and play board games/video games.
