Research Interests

My current research focuses on applying and improving crop simulation models to assess long-term sustainability of agricultural systems and processes associated with the USDA-ARS Long-Term Agroecosystem Research (LTAR) network. I am also interested in integrating advanced computational modeling techniques, weather/climate information and remotely sensed observations for enhancing crop growth simulations and hydrologic predictions. I have experience in applying crop simulation/hydrologic models to tackle real-world problems and developing practical agricultural decision support tools/systems which actual decision-makers can use at the farmer or policy level.
