Dune margin-type sites feature nearly 100% gypsum soil and are situated less than 200 m from active sand dunes. These sites have normally experienced little in the way of previous anthropogenic disturbance. Compared to other site types, Dune margin-type sites are more sensitive to all types of disturbance. Training should be done cautiously with relatively long periods of time between repeated disturbances.
