Track Dune Margin
headline bar

The impact of track disturbance is relatively high and recovery of soil functionality is slow at Dune margin-type sites. Soil compaction is very likely to be high following disturbance and vegetation recovery likely to be slow. There is a low risk of water erosion, but a high risk of wind erosion following treatment. Soil infiltration rates are very likely to decrease following disturbance and will be negatively affected by repeated disturbance within six years of the first disturbance. Applying track treatments to Dune margin-type sites should be done with caution and a minimum of six years should be left between disturbance events in order for sites to recover.
