2018 Corn Fest/Fish Fry

The Cropping Systems Research Laboratory Annual Corn Fest/Fish Fry is a tradition reaching back 15 years. In 2003, with the Sweet Corn maturing and ready for harvest, Greg Cartwright and Ted Zobeck (both avid fishermen) brought their stores of fresh caught fish up to the lab to feed everyone and the tradition was born. The annual event is a time for all current and former ARS employees and their family and friends to come together for some great food and fellowship. 

We want to give a special thank you to Barbara Hodges and Greg Cartwright for all of the work organizing and setting up for our 2018 Annual Fish Fry!!!

We would also like to thank all of our chefs for the excellent food. They made fried fish and chicken as well as corn on the cob and hushpuppies!!! This year’s cooks were (in no particular order): Bill Webb, Jon Cotton, Bob Segadi, Greg Cartwright, Ed Meacham, Blake Brazil, Willem Lee-Stockton and Clayton Owens.

We also would like to thank everyone that brought all of the delicious sides and desserts. It was good to see everyone and their friends and family. We hope to see everyone again next year!!!
