Objective:
To evaluate different agroecosystem functioning parameters (insect diversity, plant productivity) using alternative crops and systems that may help us achieve the goal of diversifying small-scale production systems to enhance a broader range of ecosystem services across the landscape.
Approach:
Existing tree plantations and pastures along with new and existing research plots will be used to assess insect diversity and abundance and numerous vegetation parameters (growth, productivity, persistence, etc.). Approaches will vary based on the project and questions of interest.
