Objective:
The objectives of this research are: 1) test new fungicides available to barley growers and develop best management protocols, 2) evaluate current fungicides for efficacy on FHB in barley and 3) educate growers and processors on best management practices for producing high quality malting barley in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Approach:
The researcher will conduct fungicide trials in Pennsylvania in order to determine the best management strategies for barley growers in this region. Growers will be educated on the best methods for producing high quality malting barley through field days, workshops, meetings, newsletters and other media outlets.
