Objective:
To develop a field application implement that can apply poultry manure below the soil surface to conserve manure nutrients.

Approach:
Funds will support the engineering team at Georgia for equipment design and a working prototype for an implement component that needs improvement, most likely the manure metering mechanism at the row unit. Funds will support movement of a current prototype implement from Oklahoma to Georgia, conduct CAD design of a working row unit designed to meter litter in a pneumatic system, develop a working prototype, and host a team meeting targeted for spring of 2021.
