Objective:
Cooperator will use precision management technologies (global positioning of livestock, sensor networks, virtual fencing, remote sensing of landscape and others) to enhance livestock producer capability for optimum management of pastures and rangelands, allowing balance between production and ecosystem services.

Approach:
In alignment with the strategic vision of the ARS Fort Keogh Livestock and Range Research Laboratory, the Cooperator will conduct research and extension activities into precision range and livestock management technologies to meet the overall objective listed above. Both ARS and the Cooperator will collaborate on research and extension efforts of mutual interest for this effort.
