Objective:
Develop New or Improved Methods and Technologies for Detecting, Monitoring, and Managing Little Cherry Disease Pathogens and their Insect Vectors.

Approach:
Research approaches are broad and multi-phased, involving field surveys, controlled field, greenhouse, and laboratory experiments, chemical ecology, and molecular methods and analyses such as high-throughput directed sequencing, transcriptomics, genomics, and gene knockdown. The research scope is broad and complex, requiring the development of novel techniques and applications or considerable adaptations of existing techniques to address specific research goals where available techniques are inadequate or lacking.
