Objective:
The cooperator will facilitate and convene four meetings with historically underserved farmers of Oklahoma to conduct climate smart agriculture dialogues.
Approach:
The sessions are planned for March 11, May 20, June 10, and October 7 in the towns of Luther, Preston, Tipton, and Clearview’ respectively. Each session will consist of a half-day program with short talks and hands-on demonstrations on topics including climate and weather, USDA emergency programs, rainwater harvest for peri-urban vegetable gardens, youth agriculture careers, and goat raising basics (nose-to-tail program).
