Objective:
Field rearing of flowering rush biological control agents that cannot be performed in USA due to APHIS regulations, and native-range field collections of agents to bolster US quarantine populations.
Approach:
Insect agents will be collected from native range sites to augment rearing programs in Europe and the USA established for field releases upon agent approval. Protocols for rearing and release will be developed and tested.
