Objective:
The Global AgMIP workshop will focus on (1) model improvement; (2) new tools for food system challenges; (3) enhancing inclusion, equity and justice; (4) synergizing adaptation and mitigation along the value chain; (5) strengthening stakeholder-science-policy linkages and (6) deepening collaborations.
Approach:
AgMIP was founded in 2010 with the goal of building a worldwide community of agricultural modelers and stakeholders, including ARS scientists. The global workshop will bring together this community to improve the next generation of integrated model systems that can inform decisions including the implementation of sustainable agricultural systems and assessments of food security in a changing world.
