Research Project: Influence of Pathogen Genotypes and Environment on Boxwood Blight

Location: Horticultural Crops Disease and Pest Management Research Unit

Project Number: 2072-22000-046-052-S
Project Type: Non-Assistance Cooperative Agreement

Start Date: Sep 1, 2024
End Date: Aug 31, 2026

Objective:
1. Identify how different genotypes and environments influence boxwood blight severity and spread. 2. Evaluate and optimize boxwood blight management practices.

Approach:
Boxwood blight pathogen genotypes will be obtained and identified. They’ll be assessed and evaluated for responses to environmental parameters and disease management practices to determine which treatments are most effective. Results from genotype and environmental parameters will be used to optimize management practices.
