Objective:
This project pre-proposal seeks to add Virginia to the coordinated integrated management and uniform fungicide trials while generating quantifiable data for economic benefit of FHB management strategies and communicating results through Extension outreach.
Approach:
The integration of varietal resistance with new fungicides is expected to result in a more robust and sustainable management strategy. The evaluation of new fungicides will help validate the next generation of mitigation tools. Extension outreach and publications will enhance communication with producers, agriculture advisors and the research community.
