Objective:
Inventory, assess, and characterize the observational data describing agricultural conservation practices that are available for modeling at national and sub-national scales.

Approach:
Research will be coordinated as appropriate with aligned efforts on Action Area #6 in ERS and NASS. The National Laboratory for Agriculture & the Environment (NLAE) and the National Soil Erosion Research Laboratory (NSERL) will share the resources to fund a CAT6 scientist to support the applied research efforts of this project. The CAT6 scientist will be located either in West Lafayette, Indiana, or in Ames, Iowa.
