Research Project: WEPS - Enhance Functionality, Integrate Data and Compatibility

Location: Rangeland Resources & Systems Research

Project Number: 3012-21500-001-002-I
Project Type: Interagency Reimbursable Agreement

Start Date: Oct 30, 2018
End Date: Sep 30, 2024

Objective:
Provide science support for the current WEPS (Wind Erosion Prediction System) model, such as develop a prototype interface to perform multiple region wind erosion predictions within a single field, and coordinate common subroutines between the WEPS and WEPP (Water Erosion Prediction Project) models.

Approach:
Utilize student L/A and/or full time (e.g., Term) programmers to assist permanent ARS staff in the science support for the WEPS (Wind Erosion Prediction System) model, such as develop a prototype interface to perform multiple region wind erosion predictions within a single field, and coordinate common subroutines between the WEPS and WEPP models.
