Objective:
The objectives of this research are: 1) use traditional and molecular breeding methods to improve FHB resistance in Indiana soft winter wheat cultivars, 2) field screen adapted winter wheat lines exhibiting FHB resistance and 3) screen additional winter wheat germplasm to identify novel sources of FHB resistance.
Approach:
The researcher will conduct traditional and molecular breeding methods to improve FHB resistance in soft winter wheat for the state of Indiana.
