Objective:
1. Purchase soil moistures sensors to support maintenance of a network of soil moisture sensors in the Fort Cobb and Little Washita watersheds to collect data used for model calibration and to ensure accurate simulations of conservation practices (CPs) on soil and water resources. 2. Develop a revised SWAT landuse update tool for use with SWAT+ to enable model simulations that take into account landuse changes in order to improve model outputs used to quantify the effects of CPs. 3. Purchase supplies for field supplies for research in the WRE watersheds. 4. Collect soil and water samples from the WRE watersheds and send to collaborators for nutrient and microbial analyses to obtain data that contributes to the development of the database for modeling and measuring the impacts of selected CPs and land management. 5. Multiple team members travel to attend CEAP team meetings. 6. Publish CEAP research findings and pay for publication charges.

Approach:
Purchase soil moisture sensors to replace impaired ones. Collaborate to upgrade landuse update tool for use with recent major SWAT revisions (SWAT+) to provide a more flexible spatial representation of interactions and processes within a watershed. Purchase seeds and fertilizer supplies for conservation systems at the WRE watersheds. Soil and water samples will be collected from the WRE watersheds and sent to Cooperator to be analyzed for nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and secondary nutrients for conventional and conservation agricultural systems in these watersheds. Also, soil samples will be collected from the WRE per and sent for microbial analyses. Scientists will attend CEAP meetings and publish papers associated with these CEAP research objectives.
