Objective:
1. Continued deployment of the disease prediction models in 30 states.
2. Refine and maintain web-based tools to ensure compatibility across platforms (mobile vs. desktop).
3. Estimating historical risk of Fusarium Head Blight (FHB) epidemics throughout the US.
4. Provide expert tools using experimental modeling techniques.
5. Survey users for feedback.
Approach:
Using the latest epidemiological and meteorological data and modeling tools, we will provide the Fusarium Head Blight (FHB) prediction tool during the growing season using computing resources maintained by the PSU Climate Office and Centers for Environmental Informatics. The team will also incorporate additional tools and allow for expert commentary submission.
