Objective:
Conduct cooperative research to quantify water and energy fluxes from contrasting agroecosystems.
Approach:
Water and energy fluxes will be measured using existing eddy covariance flux towers at LTAR field sites. Instrumentation maintenance, calibration, and data collection will continue throughout the project. Data will be processed using established procedures and standard data products will be developed for analysis. Differences between sites and over time will be interpreted with respect to field conditions and environmental variables, including those collected from weather stations maintained in the project. The cooperator will participate in all phases of the project and will lead instrumentation maintenance, calibration and data collection.
