Objective:
1) Detection of alien introgressions in HSD2-32, and 2) Identification of genetic markers linked to Fusarium Head Blight (FHB) resistant loci in HSD2-32.
Approach:
Chromosome engineering approach coupled with genetic analysis will be used to identify novel sources of Fusarium Head Blight (FHB) resistant line having reduced DON accumulation and develop genetic markers to facilitate introgression of FHB resistance into elite hard winter wheat germplasms.
