Objective:
Support the development and publication of the 1st edition of a new publication, titled the "USDA Agriculture Biorisk Compendium" (ABC), which shall be a set of best practices for the biosafety and biocontainment of research and other applications of work that involves animal and plant pathogens of agricultural significance in both terrestrial and aquatic environments.
The contractor will provide technical and administrative support to the USDA Senior Editors, the ABC Steering Committee, Chapter Editors, Guest Editors and contributors for the development and publication of the ABC 1st Edition activities. However, work assignments and deliverables will be provided to and from the main ARS point of contact.
Approach:
USDA ARS Office of National Programs and the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) will serve as co-editors, staff the ABC Steering Committee, and provide scientific and technical leadership for the development of the compendium. CRDF will provide coordination, project management support for the development and production of the ABC 1st edition. This support will include, but is not limited to the handling of meeting logistics (in person and online meetings), take receipt of all project materials from former contract project management:
