Objective:
Provide the small-grain industry with research-based recommendations on small-grain disease management, and provide the small-grain breeding community with data on disease resistance of advanced experimental lines.
Approach:
Conduct field experiments to screen experimental lines for resistance to Septoria nodorum blotch and Fusarium head blight. Provide research-based information and recommendations at stakeholder meetings such as field days. Investigate whether there are tolerant/resistant wheat cultivars to serve as controls for Pythium root rot screening work.
