Objective:
The objective of this proposed Cooperative Agreement between the U.S. Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) and Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) to further strengthen a network of international BSL-4 high containment laboratories and other related agricultural research facilities, using collaboration and knowledge exchange to protect human health, animal health and agriculture resources.

Approach:
To enhance scientific partnerships and collaborations, knowledge sharing, emergency response capacities, training opportunities, and opportunities to share samples amongst network members in Australia, Germany, United Kingdom (UK), in addition to the United States (US) and Canada. The network will provide collective advice and guidance for decision makers to achieve a highly trained collaborative workforce able to respond to emerging issues.
