Objective:
Advance the development of veterinary vaccine countermeasures to prevent, control, and respond to Rift Valley Fever incursions.
Develop an ELISA based assay for detection of Rift Valley Fever Virus infection.
Approach:
Task 1. Cooperator designs constructs and expresses RVFV Gn and N proteins in baculovirus expression system.
Task 2. Cooperator designs constructs and expresses RVFV Gn and N proteins in E. coli-based expression system.
Task 3. ARS will evaluate expressed proteins for suitability in development of antibody-based diagnostic assay.
